Wrongful Death

When the death of a loved one occurs due to the wrongful conduct, negligence or willful acts of another it can be devastating to the family of the loved one.  Families are often left unexpectedly without a wife/mother husband/father who is often the primary source of income for the family.  Unfortunately, the lost family member can never be replaced as a person, but the law allows the family to be compensated for the loss of economic support and the loss of companionship, grief and suffering caused by the loss of a loved one.

Wrongful death can be caused by any number of causes such as automobile accidents, premises liability, construction accidents or workplace accidents.  Unlike when a person is injured, the victim does not bring the claim for wrongful death, the family of the victim brings the action for recovery of monetary damages resulting from the victim’s death.
